Managed all facets of company operations for this dominant niche retailer. Led ground-up design, development and implementation of ERP system focused on inventory management and order processing. Through the successful definition of strategy and development/implementation of custom ERP technology, this company was able to scale throughput to over 50,000 orders annually with only two full-time individuals, while achieving inventory accuracy in excess of 99.7%, order error rates of less than .1% and same-day shipment of all orders received by 4:00 pm EST in excess of 99.5% over a period of three years. These statistics are remarkable because this company managed an inventory pool in excess of 100,000 “eaches” across multiple web footprints (stores) and selling channels.

Interim CIO, $1.5B Consumer Electronics Retailer

Led all facets of IT development and strategy for a dominant consumer electronics chain, posting sales in excess of $1B annually through 100 retail locations. For this client, Damon stepped in to lead all development and support activities to fill a vacancy left by the sudden departure of the company’s CIO. Damon successfully led this organization’s centralized IT activities and store-based IT solutions, reporting to the global CIO of this multi-industry company. In filling this role in a timely manner, Damon was able to ensure the company remained on track to complete over $20M in IT systems projects that were being executed under strict time constraints, all with delivery dates in 6 months out. All IT activities for this division were integrated into enterprise PMO (Project Management Office) for the parent company.

In this Role, Damon led all facets of product development, sales/marketing and services definition for this up-start RFID software company. Damon was chosen to fill this role based on his deep domain expertise in Supply Chain/Warehouse Automation, experience leading high-end professional services teams, and unique experience implementing enterprise wide inventory-based solutions for many large companies.

Interim CIO, Food Service Marketplace Automation/Consolidation Co.

In this role, Damon provided C-Level strategy and technology guidance to this early stage venture-funded food service supply chain marketplace company. This company’s goal was full automation of all supply chain services required to connect food service suppliers with restaurants. Damon was hired for his deep domain expertise in supply chain best practices, large-scale enterprise technology and real-world success in alignment of business needs with cutting edge technology solutions. Damon helped this company pivot from a provider of these services to a Co-Op model owned by it’s members.
